Tattletail | Full Game 4K Walkthrough | No Commentary
210It's the festive season once again and Christmas is around the corner! That means I was looking through the lists to see what Christmas games we could archive. Over two years ago I archived the game Tattletail which was a short and charming Mascot Horror game and decided to archive it once more in glorious 4K. The channel has since then also gained over 150.000 subscribers so I figured to introduce this cute little creature to some of the new viewers.
Tattletail tells the story of a young protagonist who gets a Tattletail for his Christmas present. Tattletail is clearly inspired by the hit toy Furbie and you have to do various tasks like feeding it, brushing its coat and charging the battery. But while you do this you have to watch out for Mama as she is not too happy that you have her child.
The mechanics for Mama are quite unique in that she only attacks when she hears you. This means when you spot her, you can slowly back away and as long as you don't make noise you can wait it out until she moves. Since then there has also been an expansion episode that was added and this is a cool, little addition that plays more like a linear horror game.
Revisiting this game was great and though its short, it has a very fair price tag and the game just oozes atmosphere. It really got me in a festive mood, so I cannot wait to see what other Christmas games I can find!
