Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time for the SNES Skull and Crossbones Walkthrough!
Welcome to the Retro Gamer 365 where we are gaming every day! Today we have Scene 6 of Turtles In Time for the SNES which is A.D. 1530, Skull and Crossbones! Taking place on board an abnormally long pirate ship, this level is a surefire favorite for young boys everywhere! Today we have Professor Stu and Hall Monitor Rika playing as Donatello and Michaelangelo; feel free to comment below if you know which person is playing which!
First off, it should be very obvious that there is no pirate ship in existence that was ever this long. I mean, its gotta be a mile long if not more. It also has dozens of masts, also unrealistic. Even more unrealistic is the explosion sound when the bosses are defeated but we'll come to that later.
This level is rife with Foot Soldiers of a multitude of hues with unarmed orange, unarmed purple, blue armed with kitanas, yellow armed with bombs, green armed with bows and arrows, and finally unarmed pinks. Foot soldiers abound! There are also Rock Soldiers from Dimension X, both unarmed and rifle-armed versions. This level also features an enemy pirate ship in the background which shoots massive cannonballs which realistically would blast right through this pirate ship that bounce across the deck and squash any turtles unlucky enough to be under them.
Perhaps the funniest thing in this stage is the small chunks of wood which were nailed down to hold loose boards in place on the deck. If a turtle steps onto one of these boards then the turtle will get smacked in the face with the plank and will get hurt. If it wasn't for the damage I would suggest doing it repeatedly for the hilarity of it.
The boss of this stage is none other than the mentally-challenged duo of Bebop and Rocksteady. I mean, these guys are loveable and iconic but their brain capacity is easily less than a teaspoon and it shows. Bebop arrives armed with a whip and Rocksteady is flamboyantly dressed and armed with a rapier. Compared to the fight with Slash in the last level, these guys are a pushover with relatively little offensive power. Hit them around and they will go down quickly. The confusing thing here is that they each have individual HP bars which is evidenced by them showing differently at different points during the fight but they went down simultaneously. Is it linked where they both die when one does? Did we get lucky? I can't say but it really doesn't matter as they die so easily.
After defeating the dimwitted duo, the turtles are thus propelled into the future again, this time to A.D. 1885 with the train-based level of "Bury My Shell At Wounded Knee!" We will head there next time and until then smash those like and subscribe buttons and keep on gaming every day!
