1992, SNES. Rating: 3 out of 4 stars

Much like TMNT 2: The Arcade Game for the NES, TMNT 4 takes the base game and expands on the source material in many ways with new levels and bosses. It also does a solid job of feeling like a video game and not an arcade game with insanely cheap bosses designed to suck every last quarter out of you. It has its moments, but it fares better than other titles of its ilk. The levels are short enough and breezy and there are more than enough foot soldiers, mousers and other robot creatures to keep you busy. The bosses are repetitive, but none are too terrible (except for Slash, of course). A strong soundtrack with hummable tunes is the highlight. Best played with a friend. Also, sidebar: Having played this in 2021, Neon-Night Riders, set in 2020: got it way wrong when it comes to predicting the future.
