The second level of the game takes place in the streets of Manhattan. Once again plagued with hordes of Foot Soldiers and robots, the turtles must fight their way through the streets and past numerous traps such as cars which try to run you over, manholes to fall into, and delicious pizza which is placed in unfortunate areas.
After the hordes have been defeated then it is time to fight the boss of the second stage: Metalhead. I have always liked Metalhead and he was perhaps my favorite of the action figures released in the late 80's and early 90's. Metalhead is sarcastic and crass, just like Michaelangelo or Raphael but without the moral center which they possess.
Anyways, after defeating Metalhead Shredder appears and sends the turtles off on their journey through time. I would like to point out this is significantly different than in the SNES version where this event takes place in the Technodrome.
