This next scene takes place with the turtles arriving in one of my favorite periods of history: 1530! While in all reality this is a bit early for the style of pirate ship being depicted, pirates were really just getting started in the Caribbean at this time. Pirates really excelled at roaming the seas about 30-50 years later and if you would like to relive this then I would highly recommend playing Sid Meier's Pirates! which is a beautiful simulation of the more glamorous side of the pirate lifestyle.

Returning to the turtles at hand though, fresh out of the prehistoric past the turtles arrive on a pirate ship which is mysteriously long for one thing. For another, there are not the multiple entrances into the holds and below decks which would be necessary for a ship this size. Details, details....

Regardless, Foot and Rock Soldiers abound in this level. Methods of fighting them all revolve around the same patterns of attacking diagonally in order to minimize getting hurt as in earlier levels. New to this level though are blue Foot carrying katanas, yellow Foot with weird boomerang-Frisbee things, and the Rock Soldiers all have ray guns now that they love to fry turtles with.

The boss of this level is not really one but instead two bosses for the price of one! Tokka and Rahzar, fresh from the movie "The Secret of the Ooze" make an appearance while wanting to fricassee some turtles for supper. I think they missed a great opportunity to have the enemies in puffy shirts with a tri-corner hat or something but alas, they are as normal as a mutated snapping turtle and a puppy could be. Once the two of them have been de-mutated back into their original forms then the turtles are sucked forward through time yet again. This time they are pulled forward into Custer's Last Stand with "Bury My Shell at Wounded Knee!"
