First worked in 1948, the Donna Loy Mine was a small producer of talc. The site consisted of four claims. I explored the surface diggings as well as one of two adits that led to short, underground workings (the other adit was collapsed). Homemade candleholders were still hanging from nails inside the mine, and I also found interesting miners' graffiti from the 1950s and 1960s.
