I thought I really liked The Sewers, and although I can't say I dislike it, I think it is less fit for speedrun than some of the other maps. These seems much more appropriate for a casual, slow play. It has good atmosphere and a lot to explore. What actually bothers me though, are the slow teleporters. I never died once while recording this map, but I had like 7 recordings that had 1 enemy left at the end because one monster wandered off from one of the teleporters to where I would never look. It happened so many times that I got paranoid from it, so I wasted a bunch of time double checking in this recording that was ultimately fruitless. Besides that, this map is way too easy for a map 28 slot. It has the potential, but there are just so may resources of all kind, its a few degrees of overkill. I didn't used to think it was that easy, but I just today discovered that there's a BFG in this map. I had no idea that was there, but it is a game changer. There is an overload of cells that can vaporize almost every single encounter without worrying about running out. Playing with just plasma and rockets like I used to, it is tedious and still has too many resources probably, but it feels far more balanced than with the BFG. The teleporting archvile fight and the window revenants at the end is genuinely a bad room, it feels like an unfinished idea.
