The original Icon of Sin is way too easy, and Last Call is way too long and tedious. Gateway of Hell got it just right. Kill 2 Barons and 2 Archviles, and then you're plunged right into the thick of it. No choice but to rush that cyberdemon, and you're either gonna be blown to bits or stun lock and 2 shot the gatekeeper. I think this Icon dies in only 2 rockets instead because it takes impact damage instead of just splash, which makes the task even more reasonable paired with the faster reload lift. I could've gotten it in one cycle but I didn't want to do it again. I also was tempted to use a trick with jumping onto the platform backwards while pressing the right button to utilize the slow lift speed, but I found that trick way too annoying and not at all fun to pull off so I just did it the traditional way.
The only reason I would want this map to take any longer, is because Plurry is an incredible ambient track, it just needs over 2 minutes of build up before the melody comes together. Its a very unique concept for a midi, and I remember it kinda freaking me out the first time I heard it. Random chimes with a brooding hum, until a pattern finally forms, it is simple but effective and conveys the fear of an unknown horror. A perfect way to end Plutonia.
