The Ultimate Switch 2 Handheld Experience? | Fixture Gaming M1
With new video game systems you get new video game system accessories. With the Nintendo Switch 2 now here, people are already looking for what accessories they want. There are some companies that when they release new accessories, my ears perk up and I take notice. One of them happens to be the team over at Fixture Gaming. Austin has come up with some of the best gaming accessories I have ever used for the Nintendo Switch in the Fixture Gaming S1 and Fixture Gaming S2. Both of these accessories, however, are only compatible with the Switch and the Switch OLED but not the Switch 2. While I have no doubt that Austin and Fixture Gaming will have a dedicated Switch 2 grip, they actually have a unit that will fit the Switch 2 and the original Pro Controller and Pro Controller 2 NOW. In fact, Fixture Gaming has a grip to hold your Nintendo Switch 2, Switch OLED, Switch Lite, and even your smartphone, and it's been available for YEARS in the Fixture Gaming M1 Handheld Grip.

Similar to the S1 and S2, the base clip is designed to hold a Nintendo Switch Pro controller. From here, an articulating arm is attached to the back, and at the top of that arm is an articulating plate. Embedded in this plate is a magnet that holds your device in place. But how do you make sure that you have something magnetic on your device? They include a puck for that.
The controller grip portion is designed specifically for the Original Pro Controller, however, the molds between the original and the Pro Controller 2 are close enough that the newer controller will also work. Now one thing of note is that the USB-C and Headphone jacks are slightly obstructed, so it's not perfect, but it works.
Similar to what you use for your cell phone for specific car amounts or for tablet headrest mounts, the design is simple and elegant. It's one of those things that, since you can't remove the joy cons on a Switch Lite as you can on a Switch or Switch OLED, it completely addresses and tackles the mounting concerns. Other manufacturers use clamps to hold the Switch Lite on the top and the bottom, but then you're putting some pressure on the Switch to hold it. This does not do that at all and also unlocks the options to use it for smartphones or devices such as the Steamdeck!
Personally, I prefer this option over others, such as the DBrand Killswitch or the Satisfye ZenGrip, but my wife prefers the ZenGrip. You have to love having plenty of options!
Is this something you would utilize? Have you tried a Fixture Gaming S1 or S2 for your Nintendo Switch or Switch OLED? Let me know in the comments!
