113Today we archive a small indie horror game that caught my attention when I saw a trailer of it on YouTube. It is clear that this game was made by a smaller team, but the premise was pretty original and is something we have not seen too much of yet. It clearly is inspired by the movie The Thing where a small group of people are isolated in a base surrounded by nothing but snow and ice.
The buildup of the game is great as you get to know your fellow colleagues and you can clearly tell that something is not right. Then eventually things go off the rails and you will even face off against enemies. Now the game is a bit rough around the edges with a lack of animations, but it even has voice acting and the biggest pull is the atmosphere that is indeed like The Thing. It proves that this setting is great for both horror movies and games alike. I'd love to see more games like this with a bigger budget and development team. Maybe in the future we will traverse the cold again to experience another game like this.
