Zelda Breath of the Wild | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
108Zelda is a franchise that is very dear to me and I have played many games in the series, but never completed Breath of the Wild. I bought a Switch pretty late and thus it took me a while to get into this launch title, but with the Switch 2 release drawing in close I wanted to archive this game once and for all on the older hardware.
Even though the game can be considered an oldie it still holds up beautifully and presents a world that is so open and fun to explore. From the moment you are done with the tutorial, you can go anywhere you like including the final boss area. But you will be in a very weak state and thus we are tasked with summoning four divine beasts that are spread throughout the lands. Our journey will bring us to lush forests, barren deserts and stormy waters.
The puzzles now revolve around physics which is also a first and this results in the player having so much freedom that they can solve puzzles not in the way they were intended. There are also beautiful cities and villages you get to explore and so many memorable characters you get to interact with.
The art style is gorgeous and the music is beautiful. I would have liked to see a bit more cutscenes with voice acting and I do think there are quite a few areas that are empty where not much is going on.
From what I understand they fixed this with Tears of the Kingdom by having so much more content in the world, so I am excited to return to Hyrule once more and go on another adventure with my buddy Link!
