98The Fears to Fathom series has made a huge impact on the horror gaming scene and I am so happy that more games are released in the same spirit. There is just something so charming about having a scary or creepy situation taking place in everyday, mundane life.
We play as a woman who moves to a new apartment in Brooklyn and start a new life. We get a job at a local coffee place and things seem alright for the most part. But then after a while a certain customer seems to pop up more frequently and gets a little...too friendly.
Some of the scares were a bit predictable, but what mostly stood out for me was the atmosphere of New York. It was nice to explore the city streets and it added variety to move between the apartment and the coffee shop. Maybe if the developer ever makes another game similar to this, they can introduce even more locations for the player to add that variety. All in all it was very charming and I hope to see many more Fears to Fathom inspired games.
