BACKROOMS Liminalcore | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary
213It has been a while since I archived a Backrooms game and I heard great things about Liminalcore. Some even called it the scariest Backrooms game ever made and today we add it to the archives. Liminalcore almost entirely takes place in the Poolrooms level of the Backrooms which adds a mix of tension and scariness while at the same time also having a bit of a relaxed vibe going on.
The game looks great, but where it really shines is in its sound department. There were a couple of times where the sounds alone sent shivers down my spine or where a certain noise would scare me. The game's pacing is great that it never throws too much at you at once, which results in the scary portions being all the more effective.
Now I don't think its the scariest Backrooms game ever made, but I might think its the creepiest or most unsettling. So many times I just had goosebumps, because I was not sure what was going on. My own mind was playing tricks on me as I thought I maybe saw something in a dark corner or heard something behind me. It's a great way to experience that lonely fear that the Backrooms embraces. Apparently the developer will add more chapter in the future and if they are worth it, I will definitely head back to archive the game in its full glory.
