Temperatures are reaching critical levels. The planet has little left before ignition, a few hours at most. Trent focuses his ship's energy in heat shielding to survive his descent towards the core. Flaming rocks fly in all directions as a consequence of the pressure and temperature in this place.

Directed by Harble, Trent finds the special Zica system, the "core" of the planet. He must obliterate it to prevent further heating, and thus conversion in a star, of Ixmucane.

Nearly 1500000 scientific lives are in your hands. We don't know if there's anyone else on the planet, except for the Gencore Emergency Fleet who does the evacuation.


Easy level, despite the meteor storm later on, but the boss is tricky. It starts invincible, has some fireball companions, shoots bullets, and can repair itself. You must destroy it within a time limit, too. This is what you must do to get the "good" path in the game, and prevent Ixmucane from exploding into a star.
My Atomic Railgun being level 11 makes a great difference, I notice now. Decisive, actually. Invulnerability + ramming severely damaged the boss. If you don't have such a high level of the Railgun, you can try to Invul+ram, and let yourself die in exchange of shooting the boss. The invincibility when you revive will help.
Or it may just not be possible to destroy the boss. I remember it took me many tries on my first Engage run, where I had very few lives. Try everything ; Invulnerability + ramming, Proton Field + quick ramming, stay right under the boss with the Firebomb right in it, etc.


Difficulty : 2/10 up to the boss. Then, it's anywhere between 2/10 and 10/10 to destroy it, depending on your weapon level and skill with Special Commands.
