Randomly sailing with your ship, you can happen upon this probably unfinished ghost ship north, northwest of Yew, just out of those boundaries of the map where your position would be shown.

Getting close the sky darkens, but it's just temporal. The ship and the two pirates are both transculent (ghosts...) and all you can do here is to get a key from one of the crates and use it high above to unlock the chest that has a... purple potion.
I think the intended way to get up there would have been a combination of levitating and teleporting, but the former just doesn't seems to work anywhere on the ship, most of the time not even playing the animation. I could use the teleport to get up to the level of the crow's-nest (then climb in) off-camera, but it just didn't work while recording. Actually, I've never seen this "return to starting position after teleport" scenario.

I also suspect the ship is out of the actual map because that would have been its starting point and it should have sailed the waters.
Well, there's a cannon on our ship and its manual promotes fighting on the sea, so surely living pirates would have roamed the seven or how many seas are out there.

I have read about this in a forum about 15-20 years ago, but this is just the first or second playthrough where I see it. It's not intuitive to explore that part of the map where the position is not shown.
