Normally if you glitch-wield an item or object in a weapon slot, the Avatar uses bare handed fight moves.
Now, the staff spin attack is long enough to have time for removing it and using the far-placing (red cursor) glitch-wielding, any other object can be placed in the Avatar's hands there.
Right after taking the staff away, the spinning stance becomes fixed, so you have time. It's just that if you make a mistake, you can't immediately continue, since the Avatar's hands will be empty and glitch-wielding requires an equipped object to be recently placed into inventory.

There's no problem though, you can leave this spinning stance anytime by entering and leaving fly cheat mode (then taking a step in any direction) or by initiating a stance affecting function, like a conversation with an NPC.

Unfortunately this stance leaving still doesn't let the wielded object be used like a staff, but I suspect it would cause a crash, anyway. (Simply activating and deactivating the fly cheat while a non-staff object spins only changes to bare-handed mode.) In a recent video I showed how wielding one weapon in the shield slot and another in the right hand (as one handed weapon) mixed the two, but but most other combinations lead only to bare-handed moves or crashes.
Except when substituting the arrow with any other object, since then it will be shot "normally" as I recently showed. It's still the biggest non-gameplay affecting find I made. (Maybe it's gameplay affecting if you are low on arrows and need substitute, I don't remember if the arrow count is lowered like this.)

Now, maybe this could be made with other weapon types, too, it's just the other attacks are so fast that I couldn't drag the weapon back to inventory fast enough. However, I don't have gaming skills, so maybe others can pull it off (pun intended).
Then could a staff or even dagger be spun around like a two handed sword, etc.

The only other related thing I found is that while performing the ultimate bare-handed move (backflip) and clicking on a chair softlocks the game completely.
