Vanark (PS1) Gameplay -No Commentary- | Played on a PS3 |
When Vanark was a simple budget rail shooter, it was a pretty cool deal. As it stands, while it obviously has a mixture of Panzer Dragoon, Star Fox, and a little Darius thrown in there, Vanark isn't as good as ANY of the previously mentioned games. It's a solid shooter for the budget price it was released at, but anyone thinking of paying the current price of $180-$200 for a complete copy, just don't. Omega boost is like $30 complete and is a much better rail shooter experience for the PS1. Vanark was a good-for-the-cheap-price kind of game. For the budget price I picked it up for back in the day, I'm happy with it. Is it worth today's asking prices? Not even close. It literally costs more than Panzer Dragoon Zwei on the Saturn which is 50 times the rail shooter Vanark could ever hope to be.
