What If Wolverine Was Never Deprogrammed? During Enemy of the State, Logan is never freed of Hydra and The Hand's mind control, thus he goes on a killing spree, brutally murdering most of the world's heroes, and horribly maiming Steve. With very few of them left, Steve recruits Magneto, Sue, and Kitty Pryde to trap Logan in a hidden bunker, outlying the plan to bring him down once and for all. But instead of entering through the planned doorway, Logan tunnels under the bunker and kills Sue. Magneto tries to paralyze his adamantium skeleton, but Logan's too strong for that and kills him too. Steve holds out as long as he can, but falls to Logan as well. Kitty tries as hard as she can to reason with Logan, while keeping herself transparent so he can't harm her, pointing out how many heroes he's killed, but she finally realizes he's a lost cause. So as a final resort, she puts her hand through his head, which he instinctively slices off, fusing it with the inside of his skull and seemingly finally killing him. And I guess she dies from bloodloss, because Fury and Elektra come in to clean up and talk about her like she's past tense, revealing she was their final weapon all along. Well, this was depressing. But still interesting, and a good chapter that would fit within the event, with some very creative strategies on the hero and villain sides. It's in love with hard to read two page spreads, but I got the gist of it. And I guess it's as close as we'll get to Wolverine Kills the Marvel Universe.
