A little video about the best method for me to tell how much I actually enjoy a game, to the tune of some fun little Korok adventures...

It isn’t always easy to tell how much you enjoy a game just by playing it. Sometimes you have to look for slightly more indirect clues.

For example, I’ve been playing Tears of the Kingdom since it released, and after about 80 hours I bought a couple of other games – Pikman 3 and the System Shock Remake – but I couldn’t really manage to play either of those for more than 2 or 3 hours before thinking – man oh man, I gotta get back to Tears of the Kingdom, because I still haven’t beaten that freakin beast of a game.

And that reaction, for me, is the truest measure of how much I enjoy the new Zelda, because after 80 hours, 100 hours, I’m still not interested in playing other games. I didn’t even realize that I don’t have an appetite to play anything else until I tried to play something else. That’s what I mean when I say you can’t always tell how much you enjoy a game just by playing it. The truth comes out when you try to abandon it.
