Why Does Megatron Have Extra Claws on his Fingers? When Michael Bay set out to bring the Transformers to life on the big screen. He made it a point to make it feel like these characters were real. And extra attention was placed on the bad guys of the movies. Which were the Decepticons. Characters that once shared similar aesthetics to their rivals, the Autobots. But would look completely different from them in the earlier live action movies. Instead of having faces that looked somewhat normal. They had had insectoid looking faces. Their bodies were also ridged and pointy. And their leader Megatron was by far the most extreme deviation from his G1 counterpart. Where he had a more animalistic design. He featured fangs that were sharp enough to feast on an Autobot’s spark. He also had these weird looking claws. In the 2007 film he started off with 10 fingers on both claws. But by Revenge of the Fallen he had fingers that featured mini-claws on them. Which was weird. While there aren’t any explanations I believe its to handle smaller enemies.
