Armored Warriors (Arcade) CO-OP Playthrough / Mechs, Robots, Cyborgs and the sound of crushing metal
Armored Warriors (1994) from Capcom It is definitely an exceptional game but unfortunately it did not satisfy us. Let's start with the fact that there isn't really much choice in the Mecha genre on Arcade as well as on other consoles or computers. It has always been a niche theme in the West . So that's why it's unique, among other things. But it also has a unique mechanic of replacing limbs with others. Each limb has different abilities which can be appealing and is overall a great variety in the gameplay. Graphics and animation is really good and the amount of effects, explosions at the same time can really be a spectacle for the eyes. Everything is seemingly good and all, but as I write this I can practically remember nothing about this game anymore. Boss fights are not breathtaking, where here the developers could have really gone all the way and made crazy battles with mega huge and epic machines. Sadly in the end it unfortunately came out pale and generally uninteresting. The same thing can be said about the locations nothing special here in the backgrounds. Also, the mentioned earlier limbs for robots are also boring, because you perform 1-2 attacks with them over and over again, which is simply tiresome in the long run. You can definitely see the unrealized potential in this game. And it's a shame because I'm a big enthusiast of the mecha theme, but here, unfortunately, it didn't work out as well as I would have expected from Capcom. It's just OK for one go i guess.
