Guns, Gore & Cannoli (2015) deweloped by Rogueside and Claeysbrothers is a perfect example of a well-balanced grotesque atmosphere filled with violence and humor. It is a similar case to the legendary "Metal Slug" where everything is brilliantly balanced which gives the game a specific status to fit almost every taste. The game does not try with its climate to fit into certain norms , you know what I mean, that it is dark or too candy etc. Rather, there is something for everyone here. What is there to say, for me this is one of the better shoot'em up games that are generally available. Graphics, animations, physics, control everything is at a really high level and it's hard to really find something better. Knocking out hordes of zombies really causes waves of satisfaction, even more so when you see their heads splashing into tiny pieces, or when you incinerate them into a pile of dust with a flamethrower or molotov cocktail. Especially in Co-Op it gives the best experience. The only thing is the music is quite stereotypical to that period in which the game takes place. Which all in all may not appeal to everyone, it's rather boring and doesn't fit in with what's happening on the screen too well. But overall it's not bad. If you liked Contra, Metal Slug or maybe Blazing Chrome, this is definitely the game for you.
