[World Record] UV Fast Speedrun of Doom 2 Map 19 in 6:30 {No Comment}
8An exceptionally dangerous map to play with fast monsters. Especially if you're trying to go fast, and not playing it safe. This was my attempt number 72, and the first where I actually reached the end of the map... alive! Provoking in-fighting is a must, as many times you need the enemies distracted to get past them; but this is easier said than done. Managing ammo is also very tricky; if you do not plan the ammo grabs carefully, you will run out of shells and bullets; and basically at that point you're dead.
I used the route of the UV Max record [Xit Vono], but had to slow things down several times and do things a bit more safe. Some tricks of the UV Max record are simply not possible in UV Fast, especially when dealing with turbo-speed pinkies and specters.
This can be beaten, of course. Not sure if sub 6min is possible though... maybe with a LOT of luck.
