Hello again.
The call for help has been answered by those infinitely stronger. City 31 requests a major intervention in their losing conflict against the clock.
Thunder demigods are on a fast approach to the scene of brutality. And their names are:
- ERICA THE TORGUE, the powermonger in toxinity territory, fast and furious like the Viper King, with the ability to manipulate the framework of the reality itself
- TERMINAL THE MEDIC, dark humor incarnate in a form of a nurse, carrying around the tools of painful demise, sacrificing corpses of her fallen enemies for the glory of the Great Dreamer
- PATCHWORK THE HACKER, a fusion of woman and machine, electrovolt-wielding menace to all remotely inorganic, a true virtuose in all things digital and mechanical
- SHELTER THE PSIONIC, the mightiest warrior with the most depressing past, getting his pain behind to protect those incapable to do much, with his approach shaking the confidence of his nemeses
In a fierce bond, their power trumbles...
Ah, alright, epic mode off. We go to another mission with the regular psychopathic team + Patchy and Shelty. That's it.
There's also some music from other games. I looked at YT - it's sometimes actually copyrighted, sometimes not. Let's hope for the best.

(One day after waking up from the psi nightmare, Jared tries to figure out what's happened while he was out)
I've slept... for several weeks. Trapped in one nightmare. Tattered, nonsensical... yet something I had to live in twenty one years ago. Remembering my worst moments... the cowardice which allowed me to live on.
I was a coward not only there, however... All these times when I could sacrifice myself so that the others may live. Yet I'm still here - and they're not.
What was the voice in my dreams, though... It was painful and thunderous... yet it gave me the chance to at the very least accept what I've done then. It's still how it was done - but now I know what to do. Be braver than before.
(Jared gets up from the bed and begins walking through the Avenger)
Tygan said there's been quite a bit of moments. Quite major ones, I dare to say.
Shen's been cooking something huge in the workshop. According to Richard, that should solve any problems we had with manufacturing the stuff.
I think he named it "the Assembly". Well, can't lie, looking forward to it - Lily's been on the edge while building stuff herself in the Liberation War, automation should help her to relax.
Novosibirsk's rebuilding efforts are going quite well. The Shrike's been a great help for Essentuki - and that's good, cause I don't want to deal with her more than necessary. Still have the creeps from times in that psionic camp of hers.
There's even a memorial to those who died then. All 78 thousand people...
Oh, darn. I didn't write it here before. We don't like to discuss that event on the Avenger. It flushes morale out of the window remembering what we had to do to stop the massacre.
Except Kelly, she treats it like a victory.
By the way, Kelly... she made a personal agency of sorts. Reclamation Agency or something like that, seeking to find out any leftover secrets of ADVENT. And with the treasures that somehow keep popping out - she made an influx of lots of fresh faces to XCOM.
The place is even more Kelly-oriented now, with even John and the Commander having troubles keeping them in check. Those new recruits... ARE SOME REAL WEIRDOS! I get it, we weren't the beacons of light - but openly discussing curves of a snake here... bleh.
Food rations are, for some reason, bigger for the new recruits. Guess Kelly likes to tease her own private army to earn their loyalty.
One of the brighter news is that we've managed to capture one of snakes responsible for assassination of several important Resistance scientists. A silvery, highly aggressive snake to boot - feels like she's the daughter of the Viper King.
The Shrike wants us to bury her under, and I somewhat agree with them. But John and the Commander want to interrogate her first.
I'm happy that it's Kelly who has to deal with her. She deserves it. She should interrogate the vile creatures I've been forced to talk to.
Especially since she did that stuff...
(Jared sighs, then returns to HDD)
Richard said that Kelly had a trial for Nicolette for her accidental psionic outburst revolving around me. John was away with Leslie and Amelia, the Commander with Shen and Tygan - on Resistance meeting. Leaving only Kelly and her private army to judge my friend.
She kicked Nic out, for good, abusing the executive power - while Nicolette wasn't malicious. If John was here, he would stop this...
Alright, Kelly, don't think I'll forgive you for this.
(sighs) For now, I should just go for a walk, to freshen my mind.
