XCOM Chimerian Squadron - Episode 25
Hello again, Watchers and Commenters, it's crepar5565... God, do I sound like an old-school LPer with the numbers YT gave me... Screw that, I'm just Crepar/The Agent Creeper/Emperor of Boringness, as always.
Did any of you have problems in Chrome where you see that you supposedly watched a video that you've got no idea it existed, Watchers and Commenters? And you definitely didn't even search for it?
I've managed to notice it absolutely out of nowhere when I checked the history of my Chrome browsing. This is really scary. And I can't even look at it - you know that I absolutely hate watching anything about my personal stats.
Can only hope that my actions afterwards will prevent this nightmare from happening to me again for at least quite a bit.

I can't believe it.
The snake which we've caught previously is free. That killing machine was freed by Kelly, "because she was bored". And Kelly screams at me, when I try to shoot the snake on her "voluntary target practice".
She also got some of quite a loyal crew on her side. For instance - Patchwork, which is one of Shen's most trusted wrench companions, was classified as "XCOM soldier" in her little agency of sorts. Soldier, hah - Patchy's fine as person, but she WAS NOT A SOLDIER. I could understand Whisper, he spent weeks at the bridge giving us locations to assault - and he's the coordinator of the agency, but Kelly continues to twist the truth to suit her needs. That's low as heck.
In fact, she wanted to send me today on some weird operation about looking at the warehouses. But - all thanks to Tygan being reasonable - I managed to go instead to a small town. I was supposed to investigate the area in which there's been an unindentified disease in former ADVENT troopers. And to get the information from local Resistance medics.
That's thousand times better than being a moving target in the middle of nowhere. And easier, to boot. I was done with my objective quickly.
Waiting for Firebrand to come, I've searched for a quite place to relax. Found a small bar of sorts. Decided to check it for some grade-perfection brew.
To my unexpected joy... I've met Ferguson inside! Didn't hear from him since the Liberation ended - so why not to use the chance, I've thought?
So I've sat beside him, his iconic flattop being almost like a historic landmark in otherwise sleepy bar.
For some reason, when I looked at Ferguson, he seemed... sad? And definitely unshaven, compared to the times before we pulled Wagnerson out of the camp he's been in.
He did notice me after two minutes, however. His eyes were rather saggy, but at least he got some kind of smile. Thankfully, he was happy to see me.
We engaged in quite a long conversation. I shared my information, what happened to XCOM outside and inside, while Ferguson told his side of the story.
I got that he's become both a model at daytimes and a police officer. Detective, to be exact. In his words, he always wanted to uncover the criminal mysteries inside the cities to lead "these wretched lawbenders" to their well deserved fate. The work is rather hard, but he's been enjoying it, as well as dressing up into the most wack uniforms ADVENT been hiding in their custody all that time.
However, I still wanted to know why he was sitting here, drinking heavy-hitters, while being obviously tired...
And I've remembered about Tina - heck, she's been Ferguson's GF since we've first arrived to that camp.
Mentioning her caused Ferguson to stop talking and just to look grimly into his cup of beer.
I instantly got what that meant, I've seen it countless times.
I wanted to apologize for getting them involved with each other, but Ferguson just said to not worry about it. It was said in a very somber tone of voice - he actually still cared for her, but what happened was really painful.
Firebrand got back, I had to pack my stuff and transfer the intel reports to Avenger. I've asked Ferguson if we could meet again to discuss more stuff - he responded with a proposal for throwing a party someday, so that me, him and our mutual friends, be them from the Resistance or XCOM would come and share their stories in a peaceful environment.
I couldn't say "no" to that, of course. Going back to the Skyranger was not that pleasant - as I know Kelly would be enraged by my insubordinance, and also because of being forced out of the conversation - but damn if this talk felt good. Discussions, preferrable to rotting in the vaults - that I'll take all day over the bullcrap she wants me to experience.
