I just found this by randomly messing around. There is a hidden warp to the North Palace as well as a forest battle area. The music playing in this version of the palace is the battle area theme. In an earlier video I caused the battle theme to play there by fairy warping: https://youtu.be/m-jWXAiXiuQ

Starting two road tiles northwest of Ruto walk 35 tiles north through the mountains. You will enter the North Palace with the battle area theme playing. If you leave you will be warped into the mountains southwest of Saria. This is the same area you will be taken to if you exit Saria's glitch town after entering the open door three times. If you go north a bit you'll see the west-most portion of the river between the two sides of the town.

But if you go 25 tiles south from where the North Palace took you then you'll end up in a forest battle area. It's the variation with the two short trees at the end. It contains two red moblins, two blue deelers and one red deeler. If you kill all the enemies and go back inside it will be empty. This is the way many battle area tiles work. They stay empty until you visit a town or palace/other area to reset them. However, I think that this particular battle area is only used for overworld encounters. The battle area tiles in the forest have the rocky ground instead of grass when there are dense trees. I might be wrong. But I wandered around the map and only found cut down forests, single tree areas and dense forests with rocky ground.

If I'm right then this is either a glitched area or it was planned as a battle area, but that version was scrapped and sent to the rocky abyss much like the unused cemetery and FDS King's Tomb areas. Well the tomb is encountered atop the River Devil actually.

As for why the North Palace has the battle music here, no idea. The actual palace does that when you fairy warp so it's probably a glitch. I don't think enemies would be associated with the place where Zelda is sleeping. She'd be in constant danger of becoming an unwary lunch.

Anyway, I've never seen this before. It's interesting.

The world map actually loops around. But while that's possible to do in this instance, you would have to avoid the palace warp because it sends you southwest of Saria each time. The map can get pretty glitchy in places when wandering around too. And I came across a tile somewhere that crashed the game.
