This is the Garuberk Tower door glitch. The info is in the annotations. Any jump cuts are due to me editing out battles/too much walking.

But the jist of it is that it appears to be some programming error that registers start menu confirmations as entering a door. Or at least the sound effect and animation. If you move after passing through a door the glitch is deactivated. This glitch only seems to work in the Garuberk Tower, a dungeon with very unique door animations.

If you get stuck in a wall because you moved while in one you'll have to escapipe outside. So if you are out of them (telepipe should work the same way) you'll need to reset.

Anyway, it's a weird little glitch. Interesting to me. But I think many people would find this boring unless they were into the game or just really liked glitches in general. Both apply to me. You'd expect a pirate game to be buggy anyway. This one's just surprisingly decent for what it is.

For the other Garuberk Tower glitch click here: https://youtu.be/IqKOxAIS3gw

That graphic corruption you see in the other video, I believe it's due to the door animation playing out. But the graphics for it aren't associated with the overworld map. So it just shows corrupted garbage. At first I thought the party follow mess up wasn't possible indoors. But it is. If the party following Chaz ends up on tiles that are not normally traversable they can't right themselves unless you actually leave the area/enter exit a vehicle. And the reason why they do mess up on the world map? I believe it's the same issue. The door spits you out a step away from where you'd normally exit out. So the party sprites aren't in the proper place. So they just can't follow you properly. The game is saying "hey, you guys are here" when they are supposed to be there.

The quality in this video seems better than many of my other NES videos. i think maybe I fixed things? But I thought that before... ^^;;
