This is video #19 in my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES. Link is now ready to tackle the Dark World's seventh dungeon. In addition to the treasures from all previous dungeons, Link must also have the Ice Rod from Lake Hylia. Magic medicine will also be helpful.

Link starts at the plateau far east of the Tower of Hera on Death Mountain in the Light World. To make the teleporter appear, Link must hammer down the lower right, upper, and lower left posts in that order as shown.

The corresponding plateau in the Dark World resembles a turtle, hence the name Turtle Rock. On the medallion symbol above the turtle head, Link uses the Quake Medallion to open the dungeon entrance. Pulling on the turtle's "left foot" reveals four Blue Rupees.

Link enters the Turtle Rock dungeon (time 1:09). The telepathic tile offers some excellent advice. The Cane of Somaria is indispensable here. Using it on the question marks in gaps creates a platform that will move along the dashed line tracks.

Through the door to the north is a large track that goes around a massive gap (time 1:35). The first goal is through the western door along the southern wall. The chest in the room beyond contains the dungeon's Compass. To get back through the door, Link must face south and hold his sword out while heading through.

Link next heads through the eastern door along the northern wall (time 3:01). A room with attacking tiles is just beyond. Farther north is a room with a fairy and a magic decanter.

Then, Link goes through the northern door along the eastern wall (time 4:03). The room beyond has four torches to light while moving around the gap to open the northern door. The northern room has a couple of spiked rollers blocking the way. At the northern end, there are chests with the dungeon Map and a Key.

Back in the large room, Link goes through the locked western door along the northern wall (time 5:32). The Geldarm in the narrow room beyond holds the Key to the next door. In the next room, there are Bow-Wows, which look like SMB3's Chain Chomps. Moving the top block on the set of five blocks west of the entrance reveals a chest with a Key.

With the Key, Link opens the door and goes downstairs to B1 (time 6:04). He arrives in a large room with a couple of ducts around the upper level. Link has to go to the southeast duct entrance and take it to the northwestern exit.

Many more ducts are in the lava room to the west (time 7:00). Link first goes through the duct to his south. This leads to the northern door along the western wall. Several Anti-Fairies wait in the room beyond. The Geldarm south of the blue barrier holds a Key. After unlocking the door, Link must face west and hold his sword out to fool the laser eye.

This leads back to the lava room, where Link can only take one duct. This leads to the chest in the center, where he can find the Big Key (time 8:02)! The southern duct leads to the southern door along the eastern wall, which goes back to the first room on B1.

Link makes his way back to the lava room through the northern door along the western wall (time 8:33). This time, he rides the western duct. This leads to the western door along the southern wall. There are a couple of Geldarms in the small room beyond. Defeating them opens the south and east doors.

Link exits through the south door to a T intersection (time 9:07). There, he takes the western door. The northern wall is lined with laser eyes. Link must bomb through the southern wall with care.

The new exit leads to a small outdoor passage that leads to another entrance to the east (time 9:25). By the eastern entrance, Link can Mirror to the Light World to find a corresponding entrance, which he could not reach previously. In the first room of the cave, there are a few green Goriyas to kill. Defeating them all opens the northern door. Past it is a chest containing Heart Piece #24 (time 10:38). This concludes our Heart Piece collection!

After going back through the Mirror portal to the Dark World, Link heads through the eastern entrance to Turtle Rock B1 (time 11:01). The big chest is just inside. After bridging the gap with the Cane of Somaria, Link can collect the Mirror Shield from the chest. Nice! In the room to the north, Link finds a Big Key door to go through. In the lava room beyond, he rides the duct to a door along the northern wall.

A Geldarm waits in the next room (time 11:42). After defeating it, Link breaks through the eastern wall. After defeating the Zols, Link can move the top block aside and pull the left statue's tongue to open the northern door. Plenty of Rupees await beyond, but they are guarded by rollers.

A couple of rooms back, Link now breaks through the northern wall (time 12:43). He should wait until the roller goes east before triggering the switch and going west to score a Key.

Description continued in the comments.
