This is video #054 in my Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask playthrough. Link is helping Madame Aroma and Anju in the search for Kafei. To that end, in the small hours of the night of the First Day, he has mailed Anju's letter to Kafei in a postbox in Clock Town. It is now morning of the Second Day.

Around 9:00 AM, Mr. Postman comes out to do his rounds and collects the letter.

Around 2:45 PM (time index 1:29), Mr. Postman, in the midst of his afternoon rounds, comes down to the Laundry Pool and rings the bell for the Curiosity Shop. And lo and behold, that same boy in the Keaton Mask pops out of the Curiosity Shop's back door! While the Postman is delivering the letter to the boy, Link sneaks through the door into the back of the Curiosity Shop.

It is not long before the boy comes back in. When the boy stops upstairs, Link can talk to him. He unmasks himself and reveals his identity. This is Kafei! It sounds like the Skull Kid is responsible for his childlike form. Not only that, a man matching Sakon's description stole his wedding mask. Kafei hands over the Pendant of Memories, which Link should take to Anju.

When Link talks to Kafei again, Kafei reveals why he is waiting here in the back of the Curiosity Shop. A spyhole here allows him to view the Curiosity Shop's shady clientele. He is waiting for his thief to appear.

Link takes the Pendant of Memories to Anju in the Stock Pot Inn (time index 6:58). She is quite happy to receive this memento.

That night, around 9:30 PM (time index 7:55), Link can go to his room in the Stock Pot Inn to listen in on a scene between Anju and her mother. Anju's mother is trying to convince her to go to Romani Ranch to escape the coming moonfall. Apparently, there has been some speculation that Kafei has run off with Cremia of the ranch. Of course, we know that this is ridiculous.

After eavesdropping, Link heads back to theback fo the Curiosity Shop to wait with Kafei. However, the shop owner kicks Link out at 10:00 PM.

In West Clock Town, around midnight (time index 12:08), Sakon comes into town with his sack and heads into the Curiosity Shop. In a brief scene, he sells his ill-gotten goods to the Curiosity Shop's owner, but not for as much as he hoped.

The next plot point isn't until 1:00 PM on the Final Day (time index 15:00). In the Laundry Pool, Link goes into the back room of the Curiosity Shop. Kafei is no longer there; he left at some point. The owner, it turns out, is an old friend of Kafei's. He gives Link Kafei's Keaton Mask and Special Delivery to Mama for Madame Aroma.

However, the owner's last bit of information is the most urgent. When Sakon came in to pawn off his ill-gotten goods, Kafei tore off after him to Ikana Valley. That sounds quite dangerous. Naturally, it is imperative that Link go after him.
