13I was hoping that modmixing with this one would be simpler, considering most of the entities are pretty vanilla. Nope. Lots of things that require setting up, and Barney starts without any weapons if not defined with one in the entity list. The opposite happens with scientists, which is why the second one met has a gun.
There also used to be a fair bit more shotgunners in this map. Found out the hard way that they're actually REALLY DEADLY for necrotics, which the player is one of in this mod. It's less that the damage is great and more the fact that they always seem to aim for the head, which has significantly less damage threshold than the body. Ended up replacing some of them to regular ol' 9mmAR wielding ones.
Gotta be careful about picking zombie stages in these maps. There's a lot of crouching and ladder climbing, which some stages can't do. Headcrabs can't seem to climb ladders and Crashers can't crouch. Considering the zombie variant picks are permanent, it's often best to pick something like Rushers for a consistent run unless you know what you're getting into in advance and can splurge on Crasher.
