Zoom! / ズーム! - Sega Mega Drive - Single Player Gameplay [1080p 60fps]
Release: 1989
Developer: Cyclone System (Mega Drive version) Discovery Software International (Original game)
Publisher: Sega
Also known as: ズーム!
Revamped port of the home computer title, you could even argue it's an early example of a remake. As the graphics have been completely overhauled for the console release. A rather nice puzzle game, that requires players to draw around the edges of squares in order to light them up. Preventing you from doing this is a range of monsters that will chase the player around the stage. As with any good puzzler from that era bonus items and power ups randomly appear on the puzzle to help you with your goal. Developed by Cyclone System there is very little on the company itself as they appear to have been a ghost developer who worked with Sega on Zoom!
These type of companies have a nasty habit of disappearing without any trace, but there is an interview with one of the staff members of the company over at: http://gdri.smspower.org/wiki/index.php/Interview:Shouichi_Yoshikawa
Zoom! has not been re-released on any other format and the Mega Drive version remains the only console port. Also released on the Amiga, C64 and DOS PC.
