Having looked at the original game Assault Suits game Leynos it's only fair, Randomised Gaming looks at its classic sequel. Went with the Japanese version for this video due to the awesome character face artwork that was removed for the western release. More commonly known as Cybernator in the west which was also heavily censored. This is a classic mecha shooter, that improves on the first game in every way from the art style to the wonderful soundtrack. Oh and we will save the Napalm gun cheat for another day also as it makes the game far too easy.
There was a direct sequel on the PlayStation 1, which had the gameplay changed to that of a tactical RPG, in short it was a poor man's Front Mission. To add insult to injury following the terrible sequel, a remake was done on the PlayStation 2 which screwed up the controls and ramped up the difficulty to the point that it's almost unplayable. Well at least the original has been re-release even if it is still the censored western version.
Assault Suits Valken / Cybernator has been re-released on both the Virtual Console for both Wii and Wii U.
