The King of Fighters '95 - Sega Saturn - Intro and Fight Gameplay [1080p 60fps]
Gameplay footage starts at: (03:23) by far the closest of all the King of Fighters Saturn ports to the original arcade release thanks to the unique ROM (Read only memory) cartridge that came bundled with every copy of the game that contained much of the sprite data on it. Not to be confused with the later 1MB RAM (Random access memory) cartridge the later SNK games used.
As a warning to would be buyers The King of Fighters '95 does not run without its ROM cartridge inserted into the Saturn, so make sure any copy you buy includes it. Some auction sites and retro sellers have been known to sell it without the required ROM cartridge. It also can't be played or use with a 4 in 1 Action Replay due to the required ROM cartridge.
While it may not be the strongest outing in the series it included a large number of improvements over King of Fighters '94 making for a solid outing in the series. Both King of Fighters 96 and 97 are better games, but any true SNK fan will likely have the Saturn port of all three in their collection. Note the upscaler we used to output RGB to hdmi causes a some of the 240i effect in game not to be display quite correctly in the video.
The King of Fighters '95 has been re-release on numerous platforms and as part of a number of collections. A PSN download release is also available for PS3 and PSP.
