A quick unemulated look at Double Dragon an unlicensed Mega Drive game that was a port of the classic Technos Japan arcade game from 1987. The closest home port to the arcade original at the time, even today this still stands up as a brilliant port managing to remove all the slowdown featured in the arcade original. That said it doesn't address the brutal difficulty of the arcade or the fact that pro players would solely use the elbow attack to one credit clear the game. Still even now it's great fun to play and well worth seeking out a copy, by far the best conversion of the three arcade games to the Mega Drive.
The Mega Drive port of Double Dragon is not available on any other format, however the arcade original is available on steam as part of the Double Dragon Trilogy collection.
