Actraiser 2 - Super Nintendo - Intro and Stages 1 - 3 Gameplay [HD 1080p 60fps]
Gameplay from the first three stages of the game in story order, one of the many features of Actraiser 2 is that you can choose to do the stages in any order you like. Actraiser 2 often get a lot of negative feedback due to the removal of the strategy sections of the first game. The game itself was commissioned by Enix of America who didn't want the strategy sections in the sequel.
It's fair to say the sequel as a whole isn't as good as the first game, that said the platform sections from the first game weren't that great to begin with. Actraiser 2 greatly improves on the first game's platform action but not enough for the game to carry itself. There are still some nasty difficulty spikes in some levels and the collision on a lot of the enemies is either far to big or to small, making for some infuriating battles.
Oddly enough this was flipped for the game that started life as Actraiser 3. Quintet had used the working title Actraiser 3 for the Sega Saturn game that became the Sega title Solo Crisis, a strategy game which plays very much like the strategy sections of the first game. In all likelihood had Enix published Solo Crisis it would have been called Actraiser 3.
