#653 Tekken 1 (ARC) Bosses (6/9): Prototype Jack playthrough.

P. Jack is, perhaps unsurprisingly, both the sub-boss of and a model swap of Jack. I actually have absolutely no clue if he has any moves different from regular Jack. P. Jack is something of an oddity, almost being a sense of comic relief with his nonsensical. That said, despite the very limited number of appearances which P. Jack has had, I can't help but love that he has a drill arm of all things. I used to really like this incarnation of him, but as time has gone on I've come to see it as really goofy instead. Like, Yoshimitsu's sword is a bit of an advantage over opponents, and fucking drill of all things is perhaps a bit too much of an advantage I would say. I also like that he was probably the most incongruous canonical prototype for a in-game character until perhaps the Biolizard in Sonic Adventure 2, which had an even greater "what-the-fuck?" factor to it. P. Jack therefore is more or less just a character made for the sake of it, as opposed to many of the other sub-bosses who ended up with much more fleshed out stories. If they had played their cards right I feel like they could have done a sort of Terminator 2-esque story with him and regular Jack, but alas that was not to be, with them instead going for a quite tongue-in-cheek story instead. Next time we see P. Jack, he'll look a lot more familiar though, that's for sure.
