Apollo 7 was the first American spaceflight, that carried 3 people
into space. Astronauts for this mission were Walter M. Schirra,
Donn F. Eisele and R. Walter Cunningham. Apollo spacecraft was
launched on top of Saturn IB rocket at October 11 1968, from
Cape Kennedy LC-34. After separating from S-iVB upper stage
they performed series of manouvers near spent upper stage.
Mission took 11 days, at October 22 1968 capsule splashed down
in north Atlantic Oceana and was recovered by USS Essex.
