Auto Exposure is an automatic exposure system for Unity URP. This asset will automatically brighten or darken your scene view in order to recreate the function of eye adaptation, which adjusts to both very dark and very bright areas.

What is Auto Exposure for URP
You can improve your project with this automatic exposure system. Your cameras can now automatically brighten or darken your shots in order to simulate realistic eye adaptation. It is integrated with the Volume Component System. Similar to the Auto Exposure systems already available in HDRP or for Unreal Engine.


How to Set Up Auto Exposure for URP
To set up, you just need to add the Auto Exposure Renderer Feature to your Universal Renderer Data, then add the Auto Exposure post-processing effect to your Global Volume. You can also add this effect to Local Volumes as well.


How Do Compensation Curves Work for Auto Exposure for URP
With compensation curves, you can control the exact exposure compensation at any exposure value. It is automatically remapped to the lower to upper bound range. It is also clamped to -3 EV to +3 EV (1/8th brightness to 8x brightness).
