Only few people have known their bravery. Now they are back to help humanity again in this action and shooting mobile game called Random Heroes 2. Aliens have invaded the Earth and the only way to stop them is by wiping them off from their own planet. Control your character and eliminate these alien invaders from level to level. Use your guns to shoot them but don’t forget to avoid their attacks or you will lose health. Pick up the coins from the platforms or from the aliens you have killed. Open up the shop to buy new weapons or new random heroes that will help you.

Overview

Random Heroes 2 a platform based action shooter, you get to play as a protagonist and save the world from an alien invasion, you get to control a variety of heroes and a multitude of weapons, lots and lots of aliens to hunt down and eliminate, this game is actually like a continuation of the first one, the task is still the same, hunt down and eliminate the aliens, but this one has some improvements to it, weapons can now be aimed...well, not as accurate as you would like but at least it's an improvement so to speak.

Graphics and Sound

Graphics is still very much the same compared to the first one, it still looks like those retro side scrolling platform shooters of the past, in game music is cool with sound effects from weapons as you play along.

Gameplay

Random Heroes 2 boasts of a variety of weapons to choose from not to mention the number of heroes that you can use, controls are quite simple too, just left and right movement and the A and B button to fire and jump, the game also has an in game money that you can use to upgrade your heroes and weapons, in this edition of the game, you will also be able to aim at the enemy before making the shot, this way, ammo is not wasted, thus giving you a higher chance of surviving the levels, very convenient indeed, you don't need to make jumps anymore, or find a higher platform to level your line of sight with the target you want to destroy, all you have to do now is to tap and hold the fire button and slide it up to shoot those targets that are above your weapons line of sight, this feature is really very helpful, considering that you need to go through 90 grueling levels of game play, I also find those hidden locations very interesting, tossing the heroes into the walls to break it up and accessing what is behind for your own use, the problem is, it took me a longer time to finish the levels, because I tried to bash through every wall that I can see...lol, all in all, this game is a lot better than the first one, certainly more fun to play.

Features

Random Heroes 2 offers a lot of fun features installed, besides pitting your heroes with the same aliens, and using the same weapons with their cool upgrades, the game now is much more fun because of the easier controls, weapons can now be aimed at all the targets, or even moonwalk your hero away from the enemies for safety, you can also play the game's 90 or so levels, with lots of alien enemies and hidden locations in them, indeed this game has got me playing for a while.

Conclusion

I totally enjoyed this game, I never get tired of playing retro shooters, this genre are generally simple, there are no complicated story lines and complex game play, everything is just like the way it was before, where games were designed for pure fun and enjoyment, I also find the improvements here a lot of help, like the aiming of the weapons, but it could have been better if the developers made the aiming system more accurate, I would also prefer if the weapons can be aimed all around the play area, from the front, up and all the way to the back, but despite of the game's limitations, I still find this game a lot better and more fun compared to the first one, let's just hope that there'll be more improvements when the third installment will comes out.
