This was Insomniac Games' first game, released way back in 1996 for the PlayStation. A far cry from Spyro The Dragon and Ratchet & Clank, this was a Doom-era first person shooter. At the time the graphics were impressive, with intelligent depth cuing and a combination of 3D environments and sprite-based enemies ensuring that the framerate kept mostly smooth (for the expectations of the time).

Nevertheless, while it targets a 30fps framerate, the framerate still can tend to dip. By setting CPU Overclocking to 310% and GTE overclocking on, we can now run the game at a silky smooth 60fps framerate.

NOTE: Any audio crackles you hear are simply due to the added overhead of having to record this video at the same time, being that the game is already being demanding on the CPU by running it at this overclock rate.
