This is a quite fondly remembered JRPG made by the developers of the Lunar Silver Star series. It released originally for Sega Saturn and was billed back then as the Saturn's answer to Final Fantasy VII, but was never released in the USA. Two years later, it would arrive on the PlayStation and finally make its western debut.

It uses a combination of 3D environments and sprite-based NPCs. As you can see when it's being run at the original framerate, the framerate can hover between 30fps and sometimes drop as low as 16fps when the camera is being zoomed out.

By setting CPU Overclocking to 300% and enabling GTE Overclock to ON, we can get it mostly running at a locked 60fps. You can still see some spots (the zoomed out camera part) where it can drop to the 40s. It'd be possible to smooth that out by setting CPU Overclocking even higher, but CPU usage is already quite considerably high, so we leave it at that.
