Broken Sword 5 (PS4) - speedrun to fastest crash / softlock
17It's pretty nice to see old school point 'n' click adventure games even this day and age. However, the menus of Broken Sword 5 are admittedly a little bit... holey. Eh, you'll see. We did both of these very hardcore speedruns with Kazooie when he was visiting the other day.
0:00 - speedrun to fastest crash, 0 seconds. As you're starting a new game and the game asks if you want to overwrite your last save, press X and O simultaneously. Game crashes.
0:16 - speedrun to fastest softlock. Enter options menu. Press X and O over the Audio Settings, then press O to quit menu. This sends you back into some non-existent menu where there are no controls to do anything, and you are softlocked. (Note that this softlock doesn't work if you try to do it from in-game. Got to do it from main menu.)
(Not on the vid: alternative fastest crash. Enter character gallery and exit it with X and O. This also crashes game.)
(Not on the vid: alternative softlock. Choose Restore from menu and press X and O while loading game. This sends your game to an endless black screen.)
(Not on the vid: a random glitch. If you examine anything on the field and quickly afterwards open the status menu, you activate an "empty" action where George does absolutely nothing forever. But you can interrupt the empty action by just pressing X.)
