Max Payne 3 - future data effects in Chapter 3 pt. 1
The basic future data effects from this Chapter's early half. Note that I omitted some future data clips that were already shown earlier in videos "Glitchy timesave in Chapter 3-2", "Retry glitch at Chapter 3-3" and "Skip a long cutscene at Chapter 3-5".
0:00 - Chapter 3-2. Activating future data lets you skip to Chapter 3-3 early if you get Max killed (as seen previously). This clip instead shows the full glitched cutscene from Max's angle while the firefight is going on. Max is stuck in a faux-LMS state where he can shoot as Passos is patching him up. Camera control is quite limited. After a strange out of bounds moment, gameplay finally continues as normal at the end.
2:15 - as a side effect, some corpses can be seen floating on the road leading to the elevator.
2:39 - if you had activated future data closer to the doors (?), the cutscene plays out mostly normal. But there is an extra Passos in the infirmary standing in t-pose. The thugs coming out of the elevator are also clones of each other!
3:25 - Chapter 3-3. Activating future data as you watch TV. The elevator cutscene starts elsewhere without Max and the downstairs area loses much of its collision. I take a wrong step, and whoops, down goes Max into the molten core of the earth.
4:03 - an alternative take where I get back to the elevator and activate it for real during this glitch. The result is similar to what we've seen before in "Retry glitch at Chapter 3-3", but the timing is later and so it looks a bit different.
4:41 - As a side effect Passos also disappears from the upstairs area, only to re-appear as enemies show up.
5:14 - Chapter 3-6. A slight editing mistake - this clip should be later on. Anyway, activating future data at the start of the fight sometimes skips to the short post-fight scene where Passos walks away, maybe? There's only a short-lived visual effect and that's it.
5:29 - back to Chapter 3-5. Activating future data glitches up the pre-Checkpoint 5 cutscene so that you see it from Max's angle and a firefight is going on. Occasionally camera also moves to the front of the room to "invisible Max" who can shoot at the cutscene actors. Many unique results are possible since you retain movement during a few parts of this glitched cutscene.
6:22 - some funny looking results of shooting at cutscene actors.
6:46 - going prone before Max and Passos enter the room makes Max move around in an "elegant" half-prone, half-floating pose, like some figure skater. He most likely gets shot to death during the cutscene like this.
7:26 - okay okay, let's just watch the glitched cutscene with little to no interruptions. Unfortunately watching the full glitched cutscene is not possible because Passos always gets himself killed by an invisible enemy all of a sudden, resulting in a game over.
8:22 - as a side effect, I got this enemy to spawn inside walls one time while doing this stuff.
8:34 - Chapter 3-6. Activating future data after fight makes Max skip to Chapter 3-7 while the connecting cutscene is still going on, with slightly suspicious results.
