This video is another timing test, but there's also some new info and tips on the Atlas Quake infinite jump.

Most importantly, it turns out you can start a AQ IJ jump with an ascension after all. This should make high AQ IJs shorter and faster since you can start them like any other high jump. It's recommended to reset the jump immediately after ascension with your double jump since AQ IJ works much better with good air momentum.

Another thing. My setup for doing this jump used to be Pause + air attack quickly followed by L2. But air attack followed by Pause + L2 works as well, and might be easier to do.

Doing the air attack isn't always necessary. You can omit the air attack at the start of the jump or when resetting with double jump. However, you got to do the air attack when chaining AQs. This is because after a break-out Kratos is in a neutral state where he can't do a sub-weapon break-out. The air attack sets him back into a sub-weapon stance, and further break-outs become possible.

For some reason doing the air attack too early during fade-in can fail the jump. Or that's what it seems like to me at the moment. So if you want to play the jump very safe, wait longer after closing menu before starting the combo. You'll gain less height this way, but it's still pretty fast, and the chance of success is higher.
