In todays video, we finally get our train line installed in the Lego City! To start, a few months ago I began research on this project. I went and bought a new Lego City Express Passenger Train set #60337 from Brick and Minifigs, then I watched a few Youtube videos from fellow YouTuber @bricksie, then I began my blueprints. It took over 2 months and several iterations but eventually I had what an idea on what to built, and a list to what was needed for this this project. After a $300 Bricklink order, we were ready for this video. From the beginning of this project to completion, I found my fair share of issues. Throughout this video I keep ironing out these issues. The first issue was size, my first rendition of support beam area was too small for the complete track size around the city, so I had to alter the sidewalks to remedy this. Then the 2x1x5 bricks used to make it upright were very delicate, I had to figure a way to add some plates to support them better. Then every 32 studs, the upper support beams like to separate from its partner, again I had to add more plating to resolve. I had to fix the corners from drooping, again this was done with more plating. Finally, once the track was done, all the added rigidity caused the side supports to completely fail and bow and break away. So I had to create an additional support structure to fix this. I am really proud of myself for overcoming all these frustrations and being able to create this video for you all. It is very rewarding to finally have a train making laps in the Lego city. I do not have plans for a train station yet, space in the city is the issue when creating a station. We will see what ideas come in time to make a station that fits. The next and final video in this series will be adding some signage and life to the amusement park. As always please comment your thoughts down below.
