In 2004, Chris Sawyer released Locomotion, which was to be the ultimate version of Transport Tycoon, even if it didn't have "Transport Tycoon" in the name. Locomotion was not released through Microprose, as Microprose had been out of business since 2003, but instead released the game through Atari. Strangely enough, although it is still supported today through Steam, Locomotion was never as successful in the market, nor as popular with gamers, as the original Transport Tycoon and Transport Tycoon Deluxe. I would at least agree that the interface is more difficult to use than in the older Transport Tycoon games, and in general there are minor problems with Locomotion. However, I would not rate it as a bad game, either. In fact, it was the game that gave me the original idea for this series. In any case, I hope that you enjoy this very short introduction.
