Transport Fever 2 Playthrough
Transport Fever 2 was developed by Urban Games, and released through Good Shepherd Entertainment (a new publisher for the series) on the 11th of December 2019, initially only for Windows 10 and Linux (with Ubuntu being preferred), but later, on February 23rd, 2021, a Mac OS X version was released. The Windows version is backward compatible to Windows 7, and I have so far heard nothing negative about running it in Windows 11. Indeed, given that the game received a major update this past May, it is likely any bugs with Windows 11 were addresssed at that time.
Predictably, Transport Fever 2 is the most complete of the Fever series of transport strategy games, featuring countless new vehicles, features (mostly options for more precise configuration), and possibilities for scenarios. Rather than detailing them all here, I would say watch this video to see my summary of what I think are the most important improvements over the original Transport Fever and Train Fever.
Maybe it's obvious, but I should also mention that, from the very first game, this version of Transport Fever 2 has been my favorite of the series.
One disclaimer that should be added here is that, like all games with elaborate, modern graphics, it is preferable to have a computer with more than the minimum 8 GB (Urban Games recommend at least 16 GB), and at least an Intel i7 quad core processor (rather than the i5, which is published as the minimum), not to mention a newer graphics card than the old NVIDIA that I used for the game and for this video. As a consequence, some of the footage in this video is fuzzier than normal for HD. I got the video as sharp as I could get it, but I should be clear that my computer was limiting me. Since making this video, I have upgraded my computer considerably, so hopefully if I do longplays in the future they will look better.
