Introduced, officially only as an alpha, in 2017, Mashinky was originally developed entirely by Jan Zeleny of 2K and Bohemia Interactive, although it was never picked up by either company. As a result, it has been developed in the years since by a team led by Zeleny, assisted by Pavel Navratil. Mashinky is yet another transport strategy game which emphasizes railways, set in no particular country. When it is set up in the conventional way, though, gameplay is anything but conventional, as to succeed the player has to earn "tokens" based on manufactured goods, or in the case of coal, raw materials, in addition to accumulating cash. This playthrough was originally supposed to be much shorter, but I felt that it was necessary to have a longer video to illustrate the intricacies of the game.
