The Bard's Tale was released on October 26, 2004, as a PS2, Original Xbox, and PC game. It was developed by inXile Entertainment (who still exists and currently makes the Wasteland series of games), and was self-published by inXile, which is a really cool feat for a smaller developer.

The Bard's Tale is essentially -- take everything from Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, and add Evil Dead humor / Ash from Evil Dead as the main character.

With our brief time with the game, I could definitely see enjoying this one. I really enjoy RPGs like Baldur's Gate, and as long as the humor doesn't get --too-- ridiculous, I could see playing this one more (and in fact, I might just do that!).
