This 1995 gem is widely considered to be one of the Sega Genesis' most innovative and advanced games and one of the last classics that came out on the system. Unfortunately the game did not live up to its expectations due to low sales, which were partially blamed on the game being too hard to complete (for those who did complete it) and too short. My first encounter with this game was running across it in a second-hand store along with several other Sega games (Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, Young Indian Jones and Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition if memory serves me.) having heard of its good reputation I didn't hesitate to pick it up for a measly $5 bucks. And I very quickly discovered that it was indeed a very cool and unique game it was also equally difficult game too...but not impossible though either. A common misconception with this game is you're only given 1 life to complete the game with; wrong. The first level you get only 1 life. If you get to level 2 then you have 2 lives and then if you get to level 3 (assuming you haven't lost a life.) then you get 3 lives which is the most you can rack up in the game. While the game is very challenging (unfortunately I do burn through my 2 extra lives), knowing where the hidden items are and managing your items is the key to finishing this game and even with learning these things this game still took a good deal of time to conquer. One of my favorites on the system and one of the best games the system has to offer. It truly lived up to its reputation in every way! Hope You Enjoy!
